My First Julep Maven Box

Hey ya'll!
 I tracked this package, and when I saw that this morning it was out for delivery, I couldn't wait for the mail to get here :) This is my first Julep Maven box, and so far, I am in love :) This is also the box that I got with the coupon code that I blogged about a few days ago that I got for one cent. That's right, I got this box for one penny! Unfortunately, due to monetary issues, I'm going to have to skip a few months, but I know once I get on my feet again, they will be worth the 19.99 :)

So on to my pictorial un-boxing (in which I had already opened the box and even swatched one of the colors, but oh well :)  )

Red flakies! I wasn't expecting these, so this was an awesome surprise.

Purposefully blurry. There are some holographic bits in this one!

Finally!

Got my hands on the Salon Express nail stamping set that is available at CVS!

I will write up a more formal blog soon, I swear :) It'll be a haul and how I got 32 dollars worth of products for 11 dollars :)

A look for my guys in Green and Gold!

Hey everyone!

So the other day I was playing around with my Wet N Wild I Dream of Greenie pallet after watching Leesha from xSparkage do a green look based off of the Covergirl challenge on America's Next Top Model, which I will link to here I decided I wanted to do my own take on her version, and while doing the look, I realized I was using the colors of my favorite NFL team the GREEN BAY PACKERS!

Sorry for the lighting, I'm thinking it is time for an investment in some better lamps and bulbs :)

On the lid is the bottom color in the I Dream of Greenie trio from Wet N Wild
Crease color is a green from the E.L.F. 100 color pallet
The small accent color is Petal to the Metal from Too Faced
The highlight is a white matte color also from the E.L.F pallet
Liner is Jordana black liquid liner
Mascara is the Maybelline Lots of Lashes
Brows are the waterproof retractable brow pencil from Sephora

Oh man... green shadow on the lashes from my touch up... sorry :P
I like how the greens have that slight gold glittery goodness to them :)

Finals week!

And my poor nails are nubbins again :(

I've been trying so hard to not chew on my nails...

And once this day is over I plan to have a few blogs ready to go and post! Once this semester I'm going to try harder to post at LEAST once a week... I had it for about 2 weeks :)

First Impressions: Maybelline New York Great Lash: Lots of Lashes

I picked this up the other day at my local Walgreen's, and want to do a very quick first impression blog!
Being one of those beauty people who do not lot the original Great Lash, I was a little skeptical about this one, but decided to give it a try, since Maybelline was BOGO 1/2 off. So I picked this up for 2.50ish.

So my first impressions... i LOVE this. It really made my lashes look like I had falsies on! And since I got it for so cheap, that really makes it that much better! Lots of pics... I still haven't mastered eye photos ;)
Overall I am glad that I picked this up, It's a great mascara. I'm going to have to run out and get another one!

The nail polish is a German brand. My family hosted a foreign exchange student last year, and when his parents came to visit, his Mum was wearing this on her toes, and they sent me a bottle! :) Out of the 90+ bottles of polish I own, this one is totally unique. I am in love with this color. I will probably do a review on it after I've worn it for a few days to do a good test on it.

Wet N Wild Haulage :) Picture Heavy!

Hey Ya'll,
  My local Walgreens is kinda stinky, they never get the LE products from Wet N Wild that I lust after. But that all changed after a quick trip there this morning. I decided on a whim to stop in and see if they have the WnW Beauty Bar set up. Now, upon hearing about this, I'm picturing a huge display wall, where they normally have the products, but with new palettes to purchase. I wasn't holding my breath to finding this in my store, and low and behold, THERE THEY WERE! Now, this so called "Beauty Bar" was at the end of a aisle, on the side of the end cap. I wish I would have had my camera to take a quick snap of it, I'm pretty bad at descriptions. Anyway, to wrap this already too long story up, I had to stop myself from doing an excited jig all up and down the aisle! I was also excited to see the they were having an unadvertised BOGO 1/2 Off on all WnW products! The prices of the baked palettes and the 8-pan palettes are 4.99, and I got three of them, plus an eye shadow single, and only spent 16 dollars and some change :) Comes out to about a 1.25 usd a shadow. Not too bad for the actual great quality of these shadows.I was so excited to find this when I did... there was only one palette left of each of the 3 baked palettes, and only ONE matte palette, that thing was in my hands lightning fast :)

So today, I got 2 of the LE Coloricon Baked Eyeshadow Palette (6-pan) in Baking a Cake, and Bake-Off Contest!, and also the 8-pan matte palette in I <3 Matte.

Following are some pictures of the palettes and swatches, and then after the pictures I will let you know what my initial reactions on these palettes.

Amazing Blue and the bottom color is Black that got washed out in my flash :( But it's a matte black. Sorry about the loose shadow on the pan. I had just swatched them :)

Periwinkle-Lavender- Craziness- GORGEOUS  blue and a gorgeous brown

Marbled Pink and Brown and Purple and light Tan

Dark Pink and Light Pink

I <3 MATTE 8-PAN PALETTE!

Look at that... just... omg.... I am in love!

Black and Silver liner from the baked palette.

Oh my goodness! Where do I begin. From just swatching these I am in LOVE! I found nothing wrong in these shadows (for now) I will definitely update if anything comes up. I did a rub test on the mattes, and they didn't BUDGE! They were a little on the chalky side, but nothing to ridiculous. I've had Urban Decay shadows (matte)crumble on me with a little pressure.

Ok, That's it for now. I'm hoping to get a good picture of my mani for today, it's Halloween inspired.... Orange nails, with green accent nails :)


Loves you all, Run out to your nearest WalGreens and see if they have the Beauty Bar! it's so worth it.
